Alice's room!

I find a small, old journal on the table, it's pretty worn, I open it and flinch, but I keep reading to better know myself.
"Dear Diary,
They took me to the ~~aseyelim~~ asylum today. They think I am crazy ~~beecuss~~ because of what I see. I am starting to think I am crazy, too. Someone is coming to get me, I will write when I get back.

I sit on the floor. I keep reading.
"Dear Diary,
That was horrible! They treated me like a science project! But, I guess that's what I am now. I think they will cut my hair off soon, that makes me cry, I like my hair long. There is one doctor here who is nice to me, I don't know his name, though. After they tested me, he brought me candy. There are people banging on the door, telling me "Lights Out!" I need to mind them, or I will get punished.

I force myself to keep reading.
"Dear Diary,
It's morning, they wake us up at 5 and we are sent to the dining room. It's awful to see, some of the patients are younger than me, and they seem sort of.......different, not here, exactly. It's sad, I keep my eyes down the whole time, I think that fresh air would cure most of these people. I won't say anything of course, I'll get punished for telling them to do their jobs differently, I wonder if the guards and doctors should really be the patients.

I have no one else to talk to, everyone is hunting, Bella was still alive, though.
I dialed her house number on my cell.
"Please pick up!" I whisper quietly

I followed Alice into her room. I went and sat on a chair, watching Alice's every move.

I look inside the little journal and see nothing but heartbreaking tales of when Alice-sorry, Mary- was in the.....I couldn't even bear to think about it.
