| I growled and, since I had run out of people (or vampires) to torture, I just decided on Sophie because she hadn't gotten her full share yet.
I was shocked by the pain, but it wasn't that terrible, not if I thought about other stuff. I had been through way worse. | |

| I tried my best to get free, but I struggled against her iron hold. I was strong, but she was stronger. I had a flash-back. I was young and so was she, both of us newborns. We were both equally strong because of the human blood we consumed. | |
